JavaZone 2026: Talking to Machines

JavaZone

Conference Date: September 2–3, 2026, Oslo

We are excited to announce that Piotr Łaskawiec will be speaking at JavaZone 2026 in Oslo - the biggest community-driven Java conference - with a session titled "Talking to Machines: The History and Future of Programming Languages".

About the Session

Since the dawn of computing, we have strived to command machines as efficiently as possible, and a myriad of programming languages has emerged along the way. Yet it increasingly feels like we are moving in circles, revisiting ideas pioneered decades ago. Piotr will tackle the hard questions: Are we stuck reinventing the wheel? Are there deep analogies between code and natural languages? Why do some languages thrive for decades while others fade into history? And, defining our era - will English become the ultimate programming language in the AI age?

The Comsenity team is looking forward to meeting the rest of the community in Norway this September. If you will be attending, we would love to connect!

See you in Oslo!

Let's solve it.
