• Protecting the website. We use bot protection on the contact form to block spam and abuse, based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Disclosure of Data

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

• Service Providers. We use the following providers, who process data on our behalf only to provide their services to us:
  • Formspree receives the contents of the contact form and delivers them to us by email.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website and provides Turnstile bot protection. It processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information.
  • Google provides Google Analytics (only with your consent) and the web fonts used on this website (Google Fonts). Loading the fonts sends your IP address to Google.
  • YouTube (Google) and Speaker Deck host the talk recordings and slides shown on our Talks page. They are loaded only when you click a recording or slide deck (YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode). From then on, the provider receives your IP address and may store cookies or similar data on your device.
  Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States. In such cases the transfer relies on the safeguards offered by the provider, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
• By Law or to Protect Rights. If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
